diagnosis

diagnostic
there was no ceremony
when our love died
no painful agony
no friends or family gathered
around its bedside
no one assisted its demise
it ended as it had begun
sharp and sudden
like a heart flash
it was over so quickly:
the perfect cancelled vows
i erased your face in the mirrors
gave you back what music you had brought
as for the ring you had bought
that was thrown in the gutter
along with all your clutter
if any should ask what happened
to you and i and us
how feelings we cherished
inexplicably perished
tell them
the coroner deemed it a suicide
